JOPLIN, Mo.–(Business Wire)–At today`s annual meeting of The Empire District Electric Company (NYSE:EDE),stockholders re-elected D Randy Laney and B Thomas Mueller, and elected twonew board members, Bonnie C Lind and Paul R Portney All were elected to servethree-year terms Retiring from the Board were Myron W McKinney and MaryMcCleary Posner. Stockholders also ratified the appointment ofPricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the Company`s independent registered publicaccounting firm. This injury is always tough for pitchers because of the force they put on their midsections.
